She elaborates on revisions of instruments used in other studies, the value of case study method, and what still needs to be investigated in future studies concerning the impact of school library media programs on student learning.
2005 Interview with Keith Curry Lance
Keith Curry Lance responds to questions posed by Daniel Callison, former editor of SLMR. Issues discussed include the need for more rigorous research methods beyond the limitations of correlation studies, and concerns that measures of current school media program impact have been limited to standardized test scores only. Such limited scope does not provide the research needed to test improvement of school library media programs that may address more fully the needs of learners and teachers, especially in collaboration with other academic disciplines.

Dissertations will be selected based on quality of research method, relevance of questions addressed, and usefulness of conclusions reached. Dissertations may come from any field of study including management, education, psychology, instructional systems, reading education, as well as library and information science. The purpose is to provide guidance to examples of quality research and to model studies that future researchers may wish to follow.
